I. Carolyn Carter
herstory
I. Carolyn Carter's first experience with video production was during her time at Cheltenham High School. During her sophomore year, she took a Broadcast Journalism class and quickly became amazed by the idea of putting simple shots together in order to paint a detailed narrative. Carolyn quickly learned camera operating skills and editing with Avid. She was then offered to take other video production classes throughout the rest of her high school career where she and other students could gain more creative control of their projects.
These classes and Carolyn's newfound love of video production led her to focus on studying Telecommunications at the Pennsylvania State University. By her junior year, she joined the video production department at CommAgency, a student-run media company that services Penn State clientele. She learned how to operate DSLR cameras, as well as edit with Adobe Creative Suite. As the semesters went on, Carolyn climbed the ranks as a video editor and video director. By the end of her time at Penn State, she was a New Member executive where she helped new students find their footing within CommAgency.

After graduation, Carolyn began working at PHL17, a news station in Philadelphia, PA. She currently works as a Creative Services Producer where she makes promotional content for the morning news and various television shows, as well as spearheading client projects. She has created projects for companies such as Wells Fargo, Subaru, Forman Mills, and GMC. Carolyn is also a co-producer on the show Weekend Philler. The show consists of three to five minute segments that highlight people, places, and things across Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware. In 2024, Carolyn received an award for Outstanding Feature Story/Report from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters for her work with Subaru and TerraCycle.

Carolyn is highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress.
Outside of her creative work, Carolyn is a hustler and loves the grind. When she's not at PHL17, she works part-time at Honeygrow. Besides work, Carolyn loves Pilates and fitness. On her downtime, she enjoys watching movies and television shows from the comfort of her bed. Carolyn is also a major foodie and she loves to explore Philadelphia and its never ending restaurants. Her favorite neighborhood is Fishtown.
